People are making music now to be famous and not for the sake of music. I'm not the biggest Green Day fan, but I signed up because I'm glad you spoke your mind. I just watched last night's performance and I have to say your actions are true. You guys are legendary and need not apologize for anything. You speak your mind and I respect that. I just want to let you guys know that I support everything the band and its members do and say. American Idiot inspired me to learn the guitar, and the band's full catalog has had an immeasurable impact on my life. Without Green Day, I would not be in college studying to graduate with a degree in music in two years. Billie, Mike, and Tre are my heroes, and I think it is unbelievable how poorly Green Day has been treated by Clear Channel. Keep fighting guys, you are the last true punk rockers. Be the Minority like you always have been, and don't let these corporate assholes intimidate you. As Billie once told me, "You have the fuckin' power. We're the fuckin' leaders. Don't let these bastards dictate your life, or try to tell you what to do!"

Just signed up to wish you well Billie Joe. At 57 y.o. I got turned on to Green Day for the first time with American Idiot. You guys wrapped up the whole GWB FUBAR and put a bow on it with that album. I was hooked. I loved 21st Century Breakdown and I'm looking forward to UNO. Seems like you all have been pushing really hard creatively and professionally in every direction, (including the Broadway show).
Do what you gotta do to give yourself room to breathe. The quality and quantity of the band's output has been super impressive, but it has to be stressful too. I want Billie Joe and the band to be healthy and keep making bad ass music. There's really a lot of dreck out there these days. Green Day harkens back to a more substantial time. We need you guys to keep doing what you do best.
