My Comments
Oh, and by the way...if you are "beyond angry" that a concert was cancelled then you really need to get your priorities straight, seriously.
And he wasn't insulting Las Vegas at all. He was angry at the production crew for pulling them off early. The only person he specifically insulted was Justin Beiber. They have apologized publicly to anyone who was offended.
You're mad at him cause he was an ass. Ok.
He apologized & goes into treatment to fix the issue that made him an ass.
Now you're mad that he is following his doctor's orders to get better & had to cancel some shows to do this. Hmmm.
Read that over again & see if you can grasp what I am implying.

No? Ok. Basically - YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!
People are taking this personally, like BJ planned it. You think that BJ is enjoying this? He lives for music, he is always so happy to be doing what he is doing. They are all stand up guys, you can't sustain a group for over 20 years with the same guys, Jason White included, make as many albums, have as many awards & accolades, stay on top of the charts, have so many firsts (AI) & tour & not be "family" to each other. All of them live for their fans! Why do you think they have kept concert ticket prices low (much much lower than anyone of the same caliber or lower even)? So their fans can actually go see them.
Anyone who claims to be a punk fan or rock fan & thinks that BJ's "little tirade" was insulting or horrible then you have never seen a true punk or 70/80's rock concert, cause that was nothing. Kiss/AC/DC broke guitars at almost every concert.
This is entertainment, nothing more, nothing less. ANY concert that you buy tickets for has the possibility of being cancelled, this is not something new. So when you buy peripherals to attend the concert that is at your own risk. GD is one of the few bands that has almost no cancellations in their career till now.
You think they have the perfect jobs? Try living it. You think you have stress now? Then you'd never survive on the road. People only see the glory & never really think about what these artists give up & go through to bring us their awesome music.
BJ has an illness, and he is getting treatment for it & he is following his doctors orders so he doesn't have a relapse. He may have left the actual rehab building but there is a lot more healing to be done before he's ready to jump back into the life. You think he should risk his sobriety or his life just to play a concert that you somehow feel you're entitled to? Grow up. Set a better example.
He has a problem & he has made mistakes (human), he's seeking treatment to get better. That is what makes a great role model.
Seriously? Why are people so up in arms about Twilight? It's books & movies, you know, entertainment modalities not something that's being forced on you. If you don't like it, don't watch it, simple. Bashing it in every forum isn't going to make it go away or change anyone's mind. And holding it against a band you say you love is disrespectful. Especially when said band is going through a trying time. Punk rock is not always giving "the man" the middle finger. It's about doing what you want, when you want and not worrying about who is ok with it. The Twilight series IS a cultural icon whether you are ok with it or not. Because of that, when Green Day was approached to have a song on their album, they of course, said yes. Is it a great business decision? Yes. But ever since GD signed with a major label they have become a business, one that constantly shows their love for their fans, but still a business. So stop harping about the movie and just be happy that your favorite band has given you one more outlet to listen to their music. Sorry for any typos or bad autocorrects, can't scroll well enough to find and fix them.
