Favorite Green Day Concert You've Been To?:
Can't say. Each one had it's own highlights that made it damn worth while and such a great memory. Possibly Toronto, because I was onstage with about 30 other fans and got to stand next to my hero and put my arm around his shoulders while he rocked out.
I expected this, which made it easier to handle. I was hoping that Billie Joe's substance abuse problems weren't as bad as this, and it makes me sad to know that they are. But at least he's doing well, which is good to hear. I'm glad that he's taking the time he needs to get better, instead of rushing it for the sake of the fans, and putting his health - and possibly his life - in danger over it.
I'm glad that people will get refunds for the cancelled dates, and that the dates I was going to go to in January will be rescheduled with the tickets being honoured at the new dates. And that we are getting TRE! a month early (since my birthday is in December). I do understand, though, that a lot of people weren't as lucky, and have lost a lot of money because of this, and that really sucks. But keep in mind that this entire thing is really unfortunate for everyone involved - us fans, the band, their families, and especially Billie Joe. He probably feels like he's failed everyone. He's probably having a hard time with this whole thing. The band hates disappointing their fans. They know how dedicated we are. They love performing. Having to stay home and not tour when they were supposed to is probably really hard for them. They live for that shit. ANYWAYS...
Wishing everyone the best as I type this! xx I hope Billie Joe gets better, (this will sound cheesy as fuck) becomes a new man, and tears the stage up like never before!!!
GET BETTER BILLIE JOE!!! I don't give a shit if you need to take months off from promotion and touring to get the time you need to recover from whatever it is, man. The most important thing is your health and well being. Whenever you're better and ready for the world, THAT is when we will see you guys in concert. And man we will be ready to rock out!!! Party hats, feather boas, signs, you name it. And front row and centre. Much love. XX
