Tickets for the "Green Day Live in Bangkok" concert cost 800, 1,500, 2,000 and 2,600 baht and can be purchased from Thaiticketmajor booths. For more information, call 02-262-3456 or visit http://www.thai ticketmajor.com.

Green Day, an American rock trio of the '90s, will return to the Kingdom after their debut concert here 14 years ago with "Green Day Live in Bangkok" which will rock the stage at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Tue, Jan 12 at 8:30pm.

Presented by Singha Corporation and BEC-Tero Entertainment, the concert is part of the "21st Century Breakdown" world tour to promote their latest album of the same title released last May.

This is a chance for Thai fans to sing along with Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals/guitar) and Mike Dirnt (bass guitar/vocals), with Tre Cool on the drums, to some of their greatest hits, including 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, Wake Me Up When September Ends and She.

Formed in 1987, Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene in Berkeley, California. Their early releases for an independent record label earned them a grassroots fanbase. They went on tour for most of 1992 and 1993, and played a stretch of shows overseas in Europe.

However, it was their major label debut - Dookie - that became a breakout success and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the US and 15 million worldwide.
