    BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG TALKS AT 'IDIOT UNIVERSITY'

    Billie Joe Armstrong, below, of the band Green Day may be doing more talking than singing during the next week. Beginning Tuesday, audiences at “American Idiot,” the Broadway show with music by Green Day, will be invited to remain after the performance for a discussion with Mr. Armstrong and the show’s director, Michael Mayer. According to Playbill.com, the two will be joined at “Idiot University,” as it is being called, by cast members from the show and members of the creative team. David Cote, theater editor at Time Out New York, will moderate the discussions, which will take place this Tuesday through Friday evenings and following the Sunday matinee. Mr. Armstrong will join Jordan Roth, president of the Jujamcyn Theaters, for a separate discussion at the 92nd Street Y on Sunday evening.
