     We're extending the deadline for the Idiot Club air guitar contest by a few
    days.  The new deadline is Friday, June 11th! We've gotten a few entries
    from you guys, but we know there's more of you out there with a creative
    edge! So get crackin' on this!

    'Rock Band' game is virtually like seeing Green Day live

    Green Day's members are having the time of their multimedia lives.

    The group's Broadway musical, American Idiot, is up for three Tony Awards on Sunday. And the video game Green Day: Rock Band arrives today ($60 for PS3 and Xbox 360; $50 for Wii; rated T for ages 13-up). "It's been amazing, the things that have been happening lately," says vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong. "It's been a pretty intense experience."

    'Green Day: Rock Band' Features Decades Of Dye Jobs And Tattoos

    "I thought we could have a lot of fun with 'Rock Band' and highlight different times in our career," bassist Mike Dirnt said. "I thought it was a really cool way to kind of show people, you know, just different things [about the group] in a format the size of a TV set."

    Just How Much Did Green Day Do For 'Green Day: Rock Band'?

    Since the guys in Green Day aren't huge gamers, it makes you wonder just how much involvement they had in the making of "Green Day: Rock Band." According to Chris Foster, the project lead on the game, quite a lot. We spoke to Foster recently about what the band brought to the table.

    "The band was involved throughout the project," Foster explained. "At the beginning we would brainstorm ideas for venues with them, talk about the set list and then we proposed our set list and they gave us tweaks on that.
