    A limited number of tickets in the first two rows of the orchestra will be sold via lottery. Entries will be accepted at the St. James Theatre box office beginning two hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Fifteen minutes later, names will be drawn at random for 21 seats in the first two rows of the theatre for $27 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing.

    In this week’s Kerrang! magazine, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong reveals that the punk heroes have already started work on the follow-up to last year’s 21st Century Breakdown.

    Despite making fans wait five years in between 2004’s American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, Armstrong promises that the as-yet-untitled follow-up will be completed sooner rather than later.

    The vocalist says that the punk trio used their downtime wisely during their European tour last October, spending their time off between arena shows in recording studios across the continent rather than sleep

    It was a moment unlike anything the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had ever seen: midway through a snarling performance of “I Wanna Be Your Dog” a shirtless Iggy Pop commanded the black tie audience to storm the stage. “Come on!” Iggy ordered, “Let’s get the Upper East Side up here!” With that, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament, Green Day’s Mike Dirnt and a handful of others ran on the stage like excited schoolchildren and bounced around as Billie Joe Armstrong and Iggy closed out the song.

    Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong — one of the most commercially successful punk-rock bandleaders in history — will have a chance to honor one of his genre's pioneers when he pays tribute to the Stooges at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, set for March 15. The show airs tonight on Fuse TV.
