Madonna has joined the already star-studded performance lineup at the Grammys on Sunday. Today, the Recording Academy confirmed the Material Girl's appearance along with several other performers: Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will team with Miranda Lambert in tribute to the Everly Brothers' Phil Everly, who passed away earlier this month, and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue will also perform.
Last year, Armstrong teamed with Norah Jones to record the Everly Brothers tribute album Foreverly.

San Francisco may have the rock clubs, but many of the region’s most famous bands formed on the city’s outskirts. The Grateful Dead congealed on the Peninsula, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Green Day got their starts in the East Bay, and Huey Lewis put a Mill Valley bar on the cover of his band’s most famous album.

When he was younger, Bob Gruen spent a lot of nights crawling around on the sticky floors of concert halls surrounded by screaming teenagers, just trying to get the perfect shot. One of the best-known rock ’n’ roll photographers, Gruen has taken iconic pictures of John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, the Clash, the New York Dolls, and Debbie Harry.
The music business has changed a lot since then, but Gruen is arguably bigger than ever. Last year he was the subject of a Showtime documentary, Rock ’N’ Roll Exposed. His book, Rock Seen, is in its third printing.

TYPHOON HAIYAN RELIEF
Music For Relief and Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League 2013 teamed up to create this auction to raise funds for those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. More than 15 million people were affected by super storm Haiyan (Yolanda) which and caused widespread flooding, landslides and massive destruction.
Music for Relief is partnering with International Medical Corps on the ground to immediately deliver critical medicines and emergency medical services with an emphasis on water, sanitation and disease prevention efforts.
