UTICA —
You'd have to be a dummy to let next week go by without seeing “Green Day's American Idiot” at the Stanley.
Two local performances kick off a national tour for the Tony Award-winning musical, which previously ran on Broadway from March 2010 to April 2011.
The show, based on Green Day's 2004 album “American Idiot,” is presented by the Broadway Theatre League of Utica. Performances are at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 21-22.
The creative team includes three Tony Award winners, but the score is what most people go for: The story is accompanied by memorable hits such as “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “21 Guns,” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.”
