    Congratulations to Brandatello who won last months "Spread The Word Contest" chosen by Mike Dirnt!

    I was super flipping impressed with the response to getting the word out about Dos! The Green Day Army are very artistic, talented, funny, and strange!  "My favorite kind of people" Alas, I must choose a winner, but before I do, I will say  my choice is based on the over all theme. There were many very creative, talented and funny entries, and yes, "I did view every one of them".

    The person I'm gonna follow is.......

    christycakes!  By  literally taking Dos to the streets and bringing a little joy to an area ravaged by Hurricane Sandy your entry showed a ton of heart! Congrats!

    Anyway that's it, but fear not, I will pick a new person to follow each month, so keep on being your bad ass, creative selves!

Greetings from the Jersey Shore, Mike! :) To spread the word about Dos, I figured it would be a good idea to draw the album art in the middle of the street in my neighborhood. Due to the intense damage from Hurricane Sandy, our neighborhood receives a lot of visitors, so everyone will see the drawing :)

I made a poster, which I hung up in the center of my town in a popular shopping plaza where everyone will see. I also bought a few copies of Dos and donated them to local shelters to make people affected by the hurricane happy! I figured I'd pay it forward for a band who has made such a big impact on my life!
