Green Day is one of the headliners at Lollapalooza 2010.
On Tuesday, Lollapalooza will confirm its 2010 headliners as previously reported in the Tribune and other news sources: Lady Gaga, Green Day, Arcade Fire, the Strokes and Phoenix. Promoters will also announce the remainder of the 124-artist lineup for their Aug. 6-8 festival in Grant Park.

Green Day's "American Idiot" musical doesn't officially open on Broadway until April 20, but Green Day are celebrating every day in April — and they want you to join in the fun.
The band has partnered with MTV to give 300 lucky fans the chance to attend a performance of "Idiot" during opening week. Beginning Tuesday (April 6) and running through Sunday, fanatics can go to AmericanIdiot.MTV.com to win tickets to a special April 22 performance at New York's St. James Theatre.

When Green Day: Rock Band launches June 8, it’ll have Green Day albums American Idiot and Dookie, in their entirety, on the disc.
The news comes from European retailer Play who confirmed tracks from the “classic” Dookie Green Day to newer, more political American Idiot offerings.
What’s more, the listing says Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool all lent their digital likenesses to the game and provided full motion capture to bottle the band’s sometime zany on-stage antics appropriately.

It’s been sixteen years since Green Day emerged from Oakland, California, with catchy top-40 punk songs about girlfriends, masturbation, and stoner slackerdom. Hey Drama Club Members, take those safety pins out of your face and stay awhile! This week, Logo Drama Club got totally punk and bumrushed the final sound check for the new Broadway musical, American Idiot. After my cameraman and I downed some brewskies, rushed the stage, and were kindly escorted out of the St. James Theater by two security guards and a gentleman with a taser, we managed to snag some interviews with some folks involved with this show based on Green Day songs.
