  • Atlantic Theater Company has announced its 2015-16 season at the Linda Gross Theater and Atlantic Stage 2. First up is a revival of Caryl Churchill's Cloud Nine. Directed by Churchill's frequent collaborator James Macdonald, the landmark drama about power, politics, sex, and Queen Victoria will have its first major New York revival in 30 years beginning in the fall. Next up, in November-December, is the New York premiere of the new musical These Paper Bullets!, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rolin Jones and featuring songs by Grammy-winning Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.

  • Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is among an array of rock personalities to guest on Swedish DJ Avicii's new album.

    According to a Rolling Stone interview released last summer, Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) had been working with Coldplay's Chris Martin, Jon Bon Jovi and Incubus' Michael Einziger. The album was in early stages of development so there was only speculation about whether these guests would appear on the final product. 

    The follow up to 2013's True now has a name - Stories - and a release date, 25 September.

    Here, take these: a list of our 20 favorite summer albums ever (or at least released between the years 1985 and 1997). That's not to say these records all lyrically reference the summertime (though many of them do)—just that they all seem to capture the spirit and splendor of the season. 

    Why limit it to the years 1985–1997? Because why not?
